Charlie Woods, the 17-year-old son of Tiger Woods, punched his ticket to a third U.S. Junior Amateur appearance by firing a 3-under 68 and surviving a 3-for-2 playoff at Heathrow Country Club in Florida.

A Birdie Blitz to Force the Playoff

Charlie's round was defined by a clutch three-birdie run on holes 16 through 18, which brought him level with the playoff field. Three other competitors — David Kim, Phillip Dunham, and Alexander Pendry — shared medalist honors at 66, leaving the fifth qualifying spot to be decided in extra holes. Charlie outlasted his two playoff opponents to claim the final berth.

Third Attempt at Junior Am Glory

The U.S. Junior Amateur heads to Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, July 20–25. Charlie has competed in the event twice before without advancing past the 64-player match-play cut. With a commitment to Florida State already in place, this could be his final Junior Am before moving into collegiate golf.
