Potgieter Seeks Even More Distance

Already second in PGA Tour driving distance, Aldrich Potgieter tested an unreleased PXG Tour Max prototype driver, reporting 2-3 mph increased ball speed. The setup change includes a new Fujikura Ventus TR VeloCore+ Black 7x shaft, described as "one of the stiffest shafts we've ever created" by Fujikawa's tour rep.

"I feel like some of the miss-strikes are straightening up," Potgieter noted, highlighting improved forgiveness alongside the distance gains.

McCarthy's Bold Putter Switch

Denny McCarthy, who has ranked top-5 in SG: Putting in all but one season since 2018, made a significant equipment change by switching from his longtime Scotty Cameron GoLo to a TaylorMade Spider Tour X.
