Lauren Coughlin secured her first LPGA Tour victory in two years with a commanding five-shot triumph at the Aramco Championship. The 33-year-old from Virginia carded an even-par 72 in the final round to finish at 7-under total, earning $600,000 in prize money.

This marks Coughlin's third LPGA Tour title and her first victory on American soil, following wins in Canada and Scotland in 2024. "Not winning in 2024 was really hard," Coughlin reflected on her drought.

Korda's Third Consecutive Runner-Up Finish

World No. 1 Nelly Korda struggled to a final-round 75, finishing at 2-under for second place. This marked Korda's third straight second-place finish following her season-opening victory in Orlando, Florida.

Despite the disappointment, Korda remained philosophical: "I'm really happy with the way that my game is trending."

Shadow Creek's Demanding Test

The challenging Shadow Creek layout proved its difficulty once again, with only four players finishing under par for the tournament. The $4 million prize pool attracted 38 of the world's top 40 players to this Golf Saudi-organized event, co-sanctioned by the LPGA and Ladies European Tour.

Players compared the tournament conditions to a major championship, with scoring opportunities at a premium on the 6,765-yard course.

The tournament's turning point came at the par-3 eighth hole during the final round, where Coughlin drained a spectacular 45-foot birdie putt. Korda immediately followed with a three-putt bogey, extending Coughlin's lead to six shots and effectively sealing the victory.
