For decades, Mizuno has been synonymous with forged irons. But in 2026, the brand is making a compelling case that it belongs in every slot of the bag. NANOALLOY: A First in Golf Driver Engineering
The headline innovation is the NANOALLOY face technology, co-developed with materials specialist Toray. Unlike conventional titanium faces that operate on a spring-like trampoline effect, NANOALLOY dynamically alters its elasticity at impact—compressing alongside the golf ball to store and release more energy. The result is Mizuno's thinnest-ever titanium face construction and a 15%+ expansion of the high-speed rebound zone (CORAREA).
Two models are available: the JPX One (larger footprint, straighter bias) and the JPX One Select (compact, tour-preferred shape with a neutral-to-fade flight). Both conform to CT and smash factor regulations while delivering what Mizuno claims are best-in-class ball speeds.
Sound, Feel, and On-Course Performance
Morrow describes the sound as "VERY loud"—but in a satisfying way, likening it to a Mizuno composite baseball bat rather than the harsh, high-pitched crack common to many distance drivers. Forgiveness was another standout. After a 15-minute fitting session, Morrow landed on a JPX One 10.5° with a Fujikura Ventus TR Blue Velocore shaft, lofted down on the sleeve.
