The week following the Masters saw PGA Tour professionals experimenting with new equipment at Harbor Town Golf Links, as the tight and strategic layout of RBC Heritage prompted several players to add mini drivers to their arsenals.

Mini Driver Revolution

Jason Day deployed a Ping tour-only prototype mini driver, explaining the strategic advantage: "You kind of need the 280 to 290 range, and the 3-wood may not go as far." His setup featured a 13-degree loft with a 43.5-inch shaft configuration.

Akshay Bhatia tested Callaway's newly launched Quantum Mini, which demonstrated impressive spin control from the turf. According to Johnny Thompson, Callaway's Tour Content Manager, the club produced spin rates between 3,300-3,800 rpm when hit from the deck, offering a 500 rpm control window.

J.J. Spaun opted for a TaylorMade R7 Quad Mini Driver, configured with 13 grams in the front and 4 grams in the rear weight positions.

Titleist GTS Fairway Woods Launch

Titleist officially debuted their GTS2 and GTS3 fairway woods, following the driver series launch at Houston Open. The new models feature distinctive silver faces for improved loft visibility at address and noticeably larger head profiles compared to previous Titleist fairway offerings.

Additional Equipment Notes

- Viktor Hovland continued testing between his current Ping G425 driver and the newer G440 LST model - Brian Harman unveiled custom 633BH prototype irons based on the 620 CB design - Jhonattan Vegas carried an unusual 11-iron, part of Callaway's unreleased MB redesign

The equipment changes reflect players' adaptation to Harbor Town's unique demands, prioritizing precision and control over raw distance.
